This Privacy Policy describes how the Company treats Personal Data (as defined in the EU general data protection regulation 2016/679, or “GDPR”) that you provide to us, including how we are Processing (as defined in the GDPR) such information, how we protect the security of such information, and how you may change or request that we amend such information from our systems.

Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Data

The Company respects your privacy, and is committed to complying with applicable privacy laws in those jurisdictions where we do business. The Company needs to collect your Personal Data, and it must undergo Processing in order to perform necessary ancillary activities related to our commercial business relationships. The Company collects Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to us through telephone or e-mail contact, product orders, or contact information at pharmaceutical conferences when you visit our booth. On occasion, the Company may purchase attendance lists at conferences, in which case we ask the conference organizer to disclose only the information concerning individuals who have not opted out from such disclosure by the organizer.

Legal Basis

The Company is Processing your data based on legitimate interest, defined in the GDPR as “there is a relevant and appropriate relationship between” you or your employer and our Company.

Data Categories

The Company may collect the following Personal Data about you or your employer: contact information (such as name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number); medical specialty of healthcare practitioners; billing information if applicable; and, medical license numbers when required by law.

Processing of the Personal Data that we have collected from you involves electronic storage in a cloud computing contact management software and our use of it to: develop and maintain our relationship and communicate with you; bill you for our products and services; unless you ask us not to, advise you about new products, services, and health care news that may be of interest to you; and, provide you with interactive communication on our website.

Access to your Personal Data

In order for Processing in connection with current communications with you, your Personal Data may be shared and accessed by authorized personnel within our Company. Additionally, your Personal Data may be transferred to and/or accessible by authorized personnel within the Company in countries other than your home country, specifically Canada and/or the USA. The Company will ensure that your Personal Data is protected. Authorized personnel permitted to access your Personal Data are obliged to maintain data secrecy and confidentiality. The Company has implemented appropriate technical, organizational, and physical measures to protect your Personal Data, in particular against accidental or unlawful disclosure. Your Personal Data will not be released to third parties without your consent (in writing or electronically), or unless otherwise required or allowed by law.

Your Personal Data will be retained only for as long as we need it to fulfil the purpose for which we have collected it and, if applicable, as long as required by statutory retention requirements.
